65 years ago, in the wake of a bloody revolution, 20,000 Hungarian refugees started to arrive in Britain. They were welcomed as heroes, people even competed to entertain them for Christmas, and their arrival was even commemorated at a reception once given by Prince Charles.

Today, countries are facing the biggest crisis in its modern history struggling to globally accommodate 84 million forcibly displaced refugees and their experience a rather different reception.

Many people have a fear: immigration equals terrorism.

Should we feed into the “Devil’s Lair?”

Or recognize the capacities? A positive self-reliant integration, globally empowering to make an economic contribution.

Afterall, we all have talents, aspirations and skills to contribute socially and economically.
